About Me

My name is Ashkan Tashk. I received my B.Sc. degree in electrical engineering from Shiraz University, Shiraz, Iran, in 2006, and the M.Sc. degree in electrical engineering and the Ph.D. degree in telecommunication engineering from the Shiraz University of Technology, Shiraz, in 2010 and 2015, respectively.

Since 2019, I have started my journey as a Postdoctoral Researcher within the Unit of Applied AI and Data Science, Maersk Mc-Kinney Møller Institute (MMMI), University of Southern Denmark, Odense, Denmark. For about two years, I continued my career as a postdoctoral researcher in a project with a collaboration between the food science and computer science departments at the University of Copenhagen (KU) as academic partners and FOSS Analytical A/S as the industrial partner. Today, I am working with the same job title at the Cognitive systems, DTU Compute, Technical University of Denmark (DTU), Copenhagen, Denmark.

I have several publications, including three books in Persian, journal articles, and conference papers in accredited conference proceedings in various signal and image processing fields, bioinformatics, and biomedical topics. My research interests include biomedical signal and image proceeding, the development of new artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) applications, and data science research. I am also an IEEE senior Member since 2022.
